For many complicated reasons: I needed a zine that was a collection of Trans + Gay stories that I could hand out at events. And so, Thirsty Arthoe kindly reached out to help me make that happen! And now, we're releasing the template and other information so many you can do something similar.

The purpose of this template:

• For you to make a zine showcasing stories and artists you like and where someone can support them. 
• Feel free to include your own story: but ideally zines made with this template will be used to support others in your community first and foremost.
• Pick a theme and go for it. Do you like furry romance? Make a list of those. Do you like niche deck builders? Go with that! 
• No need to attribute us in your zine: but we do ask you do not re-sell any zines made with this template. They should be given out for free to support the creatives you love!
• Digital zines are also very cool! Feel free to use this for that too!

This template is...

• Best suited for a "half page" zine where each page takes up one half of a typical US paper size you can print from home or the library.
• Best suited when combined with other programs that can make or print PDFs. InDesign and Google Docs can do both!  
• Best suited for 4 sheets of paper: so 8 pages in total. 
• Best printed in B+W on colored printer paper. White is also fine.

Other tips...

• Cover design is up to you! And don't be afraid to use open source materials to create it. 
• QR Monkey is the quickest and easiest place to get codes!
• Sara has some of the best fonts around -- get them and use them!
• Give Zine Arranger a try if you're having trouble with formatting.
• Don't be afraid to ask for help!
