Solanaceae - Prologue Comic

A comment to say that solanaceae is really my favorite indie multimedia story/universe. The main and supporting characters and their interaction + the artstyle/composition that keep becoming better !!!

I initially picked this up for early access to Chapter 6 (which is such a powerful, heartpounding culmination of the story so far and I'm OBSESSED) but it's sooo nice to be able to reread the whole comic in this format - the pacing, the beautiful art, you can really sink into it here. Super recommend Solanaceae if you like sexy & emotional stories and this is the best way to read it imo! It's very good!!!!

Okay, here I go. I don't even know where to start to convey my feelings about your story and about your art in a more general way. I began this “journey” with Tomai, and I loved everything about it. And this time, I am falling in love all over again. How you portray relationships and characters, how good you are with expressions, conveying feelings and communication are just... amazing. I came here for a good time and the amount of tears I shed for Sal and Battam shows me I really freaking did enjoy my stay. Thank you for sharing all those gems with us. <3

Having followed the chronicles of Battam and Sal for a solid, grand total of one month (woah), I am still always finding more reasons to love their dynamic more with each comic update. The Solenance comic’s art style is, first of all, one of my favorites of any online artist. I suppose that means this applies to all of it as well, as it should. I’m no artist, so I can’t explain the thought process behind it, but it has me bouncing off the walls like someone who drank too much coffee from how much excitement I get from it, SFW and NSFW with the duo. A ragtag relationship between a misunderstood thief tired of the structure of life’s classes and a misunderstood witch tired of the structure of his coven? It really doesn’t get better than this. Both have a life they built up and have to stretch out of their comfort zone for one another and it makes the falling for each other happen even harder. Yes,  both of you, he does like you, aaaah! Confess already! Oh they are fumbling and trying their best and I love that realistic approach. 

The two being switches sounds like a silly thing to comment, but it improves the dynamic in how they learn the comforts of one another and build up trust and ooooohhh it’s adorable! The more I read, the more I can’t help but be hopelessly in love with Battam in the same way Sal slowly becomes. He’s a real hoot, as some say, and I’m always thinking about him deep in my mind (I must say, no one is a better top than he is as well. The chosen voices and dialogue for “Count To 10”… I thought I wasn’t going to live to see the Sun rise again from having a heart attack every-time that damn mouth of his opened). 

This doesn’t even discuss the extra works that you can get all of by paying just a bit more for some crazy heart-pounding goodness. I found myself reading “The Lonely Prince” and “Summoning Battam” last night because I missed the fun, spooky, creative prompts the Halloween season brought a few weeks ago, and this comment doesn’t at all convey how embarrassed I was to write this from it. This isn’t a negative, my god it’s a total positive. I wasn’t able to sleep for a good bit because they felt so deliciously satisfying to read (and I just had to know how I could get a summoning going to have a meeting with Battam, ahaha). Sprinkling art with the content too… you’re truly missing out not giving a good ten bucks for the full package. I’m not one to let out audible gasps of excitement when reading nsfw comics or literature often, and yet suddenly with Battam and Sal it’s to be expected. Oh what I’d give for one chance. Even just a kiss. 

Gone are the days of feverishly searching hundreds of search results for  the apex of queer content that you’d only find from a friend’s follows on twitter when stuff like Soleannance exists and is pushed on multiple platforms such as here, making it easier to find and show to others. I always appreciated Dark’s well thought-out organization for that, because as good as twitter artists can be, it is blind luck that I found half of the ones I like right now. Not like the current affairs there are making it any easier, too. 
The only downside I can think of is that I don’t have all the time or money in the world to read this in one setting and then get me a full physical set. Oh well, one can dream. I’m excited to see what the future brings and hope those involved are as giddy as I am for all of the lovely moments with these two 💖🥹🥴❤️‍🔥🏳️‍🌈

Woooow!!! After playing "Solanaceae: After all" I'm so glad that i wrote the prologue <3 Now i see every character in a whole new light. I love your storytelling and your artstyle. So glad i found out about this Game via YT.
